Answer: Powell Economic Partnership (PEP) is the official economic development organization for the City of Powell in northwest Wyoming. Our mission is to unite the business community and government to create wealth, jobs, and improve the quality of life consistent with the culture and environment of the Powell Valley for the benefit of all citizens. PEP has a variety of programs to support economic and community development. The main program is Business Retention & Expansion. Other programs include Entrepreneurship, Mentorship and Business Recruitment. Coordinating the many financial economic development tools is one of PEP's specialties. Open dialog and partnerships among local lenders is a priority. Partnerships are strong among state and neighboring economic development organizations and also with the many lead community organizations. Wyoming is a great place to do business and Powell is no exception! The region's leading industries include agriculture, with special emphasis on specialty & niche agriculture and value-added and oil & gas including the service industries that accompany production and exploration.
