Answer: Our founder, Arthur Pollack, was born in Yonkers, NY but moved to Germany as a young child. Luckily, he escaped Nazi Germany in the 1930s, returning to America where he subsequently served the U.S. in World War II first as a paratrooper and, after the war, as a translator at the Nuremberg Trials. He was particularly well-suited for this role as he had a natural gift for languages, eventually becoming fluent in 13 different tongues. Later in life, following his graduation from law school as a result of the G.I. Bill, his facility in foreign languages led him to found a law firm specializing in U.S. immigration law. Arthurs son, Conrad Pollack, graduated from Brooklyn Law School in the 1980s and joined his fathers firm. While both father and son looked forward to working together, unforeseen circumstances caused their time to be cut short. Arthur Pollack passed away soon after, leaving Conrad in charge of the firm at the young age of 26 years old. Under his management, however, the firm rapidly expanded. Conrad was quickly joined by renowned litigator Brian J. Isaac (head of the appellate department) and Fred A. DeCicco (head of real estate / commercial law department), and together they officially established Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco, LLP. They have since established a very successful personal injury department, headed by Adam S. Handler (The Case Handler), as well as expanded into various other legal fields. Today, PPID is a full-service law firm that represents a diverse field of clients across the globe and is recognized as one of the Best Law Firms in New York City by U.S. News and World Report Best Lawyers. Our law firm is a full-service law firm representing clients across the globe.
