Answer: Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care has provided hospice care and palliative services for 40 years. PPHPC began offering services in 1980, and is the only community-based, nonprofit hospice provider in El Paso and Teller counties in Colorado. Patients can receive our services wherever they call home a private residence, assisted living community or skilled nursing facility. When medical needs become more complex, we are the only area hospice provider with our own licensed inpatient care unit to manage more serious care needs in a comfortable setting. The focus of our philosophy of care is to provide quality symptom control and practical support to holistically address patients physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Comprehensive grief support for surviving families of loved ones continues for thirteen months following the death of our patients. In addition, PPHPC is committed to sharing its expertise about end-of-life issues through education and collaborations throughout the community.
