Answer: The Pennsylvania Auctioneers Association (PAA) was formed by a group of successful businessmen who knew that in order to provide a better business environment for themselves and strengthen their share of the auction market, they needed to work together. They invested in their futures by forming the PAA. Their purpose was to speak with one voice to the auction industry across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to consumers, to governmental agencies, and to others, and in the process obtain tools to help them make sound and profitable decisions in their auction businesses. For over 60 years the PAA has been one of the best investments its members have made. The PAA has sought to establish and continually improve the standard of education, ethics and performance of its members.
