Answer: Paul B. Moyer & Sons, Inc. technically began in a small garage in Doylestown with brothers Paul and Charles. In the late 1920s the rise in popularity of electronic utilities gave the fellas a niche for repairing these items. Electronics on the rise and FDR's New Deal opened up many job opportunities and the brothers found enough work to go their separate ways. Paul stayed in his beloved Doylestown and his sons Cliff and Dick joined him after coming home from WWII, creating Paul B. Moyer & Sons, Inc.. The sons helped bring in the new era of auto electronics and DC battery work. For the next few decades they would begin to take on air cooled engines and work with companies such as Briggs & Stratton, Kohler, and Tecumseh. With the expansion of business comes the need to expand space. The Moyers' shop moved from the center of the borough to the south end of town in 1968, staying in the beloved community that made us. More sons came in and took over and expanded it to include outdoor power and lawn equipment. And now the fourth generation (with the fifth on weekends and summer break) have taken over. Service, sales, and parts is still our business today, thanks to the community our family has had the pleasure of serving for more than ninety years.
