In 1982*, as a sailor on the USS New Jersey (BB-62) as an arts and literature anthology. Following his honorable discharge, Enrique continued gathering stories and sporadically printing them until 1996 as an online anthology publication, Nuvein Magazine. He dedicated Nuvein Magazine to voices rarely heard in a world increasingly devoid of diversity. Encouraged by the publication's success, and the assistance of local civic, business, and community leaders, Enrique set out to recruit a board to incorporate the Nuvein Foundation as a arts organization.
