Answer: Nuvara is a pioneering medical technology company that exists to enhance the quality, safety, and efficiency of hospital resuscitation operations. Nuvara helps through two products: (1) CoDirector Resuscitation Software (2) EMMIT Emergency Care System CoDirector Resuscitation Software is designed to be as fast as the nurse for real-time code event documentation, guidance, and reporting -- all based on touch-input using a hand-held tablet. CoDirector is available as a standalone product offering and is also included with the EMMIT Emergency Care System. The EMMIT Emergency Care System is a modern take on the resuscitation cart that is designed to completely support the cycle of Code Blue Readiness, Response, and Review operations. It is Crash Cart 2.0. ---- This is our story: Nuvara was founded in 2021, but it is not a new company. It is the new direction of a 60-year old medical device company called S&S X-Ray Products, Inc. Started by Harold Shoenfeld in Brooklyn, NY, S&S became the worldwide leader in film-based x-ray accessories, including Illuminators, Motorized Viewers, and more. S&S soon expanded into medical carts and cabinets for various applications throughout the hospital, and was one of the first companies to introduce the electronic Medcart. But the medical cart market gradually became saturated with me-too products. Norm Shoenfeld MD and his son Brian Shoenfeld decided that the time was right to discover, create, and nurture the next technological breakthrough. Because the company has plenty of experience developing hardware with electronics and software, Nish Patel Pharm.D. suggested exploring resuscitation technology given his unique background with hospital pharmacy operations and participation in Critical Care Committees. Under creative guidance from Nish Patel Pharm.D., and many clinical consultants, the EMMIT Emergency Care System and CoDirector Resuscitation Software were born.
