Answer: NTest is a leading provider of optical communications test and measurement solutions for telecommunications service providers and cable operators in more than 45 countries. The FiberWatchTM product line utilizes an industry leading 4th generation fiber monitoring engine which includes optical fiber mapping software that enables customers to assess the state of the network. In the event of a fiber cable issue, the monitoring system uses an OTDR to detect the physical problem, diagnose the problem, and then correlate this information with the Geographical Information System (GIS) documentation system to pin point the problem location on a map and notify network operators by email and SMS.
