Answer: Founded in 1986, New Vistas School (NVS) is a nonprofit school serving students with learning, attention, and social-emotional challenges in grades 3-12. New Vistas School believes that each child deserves the opportunity to reach his or her full intellectual and emotional potential, and NVS exists to make that happen, providing a safe, nurturing, and individualized educational environment that fosters academic and personal growth necessary for life-long, productive citizenship. New Vistas School was accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools in 2005; on the 2015 Ten-Year Visit the accreditation was renewed for another five years.
