Answer: National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) serves 16,000 players across 600 mens and womens teams. The teams compete in Division I, Division II and Division III, ranging from full varsity programs to grassroots clubs. With a singular focus on supporting and growing college rugby, NCR operates five national championship events including the mens and womens XVs National championships, National 7s, and the mens and womens national All Star tournaments. NCR evolved from the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) which was founded in 2007. Originally created to support the growth and development of small college rugby, the organization now serves college rugby programs of all sizes. NCR is an independent Delaware Non-Stock Non-Profit corporation operating under section 220526 of the Ted Stevens Act as an amateur sports organization with the exclusive jurisdiction over its constituent college players, coaches, and teams.
