Answer: Founded in 1997 by Leland Hevner, the National Association of Online Investors (NAOI) is a leading investor education and investment research organization. Our mission is to empower individuals to invest with confidence via education and innovative investing methods and to provide financial organizations with resources that enable them to better meet the public's needs. To meet these goals the NAOI has four Divisions: Education Division The NAOI is the markets premier provider of objective and academically rigorous investor education to the public. It is provided via college-classes, online courses, published books, media articles and financial blogs. Since 1997 we have taught thousands of individuals how to invest. Research Division Over the years, the NAOI has realized that education alone is not sufficient to empower investors. Also needed is innovation. We created the Research Division to update tools and methods that are growing increasingly obsolete in today's markets. As one example we developed Dynamic Investment Theory (DIT) as a viable alternative to Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT) as the basis for creating superior portfolios. Consulting Division The NAOI has worked with the investing public for 20+ years. We know what individual investors want and need from financial organizations that they are not getting today. Via NAOI consulting services we share this knowledge with financial organizations along with investor education products and innovative investing methods to give them a massive competitive advantage. Publishing Division The large majority of investing "how-to" books are virtually unusable by the public. Their small font and tightly bound format makes easy study impossible. The NAOI publishes books in a format dictated by student feedback. They are sized at 8.5x11 and comb bound allowing for 'lay-flat" study. This corporate structure has enabled the NAOI to become the nation's premier investing solutions provider.
