Answer: Nalpak Group, a small, family owned business located in El Cajon, CA has an interesting history. In the late 1970s Bob Kaplan, owner of Nalpak worked for a major motion picture sales and rental company. He was responsible for packaging equipment to be used on movie locations. While there were plenty of reusable cases for camera equipment, the only case available for tripods was a round fiberboard tube that did not last very long before it needed to be held together with duct tape. After researching the various plastic molding methods, he finds that rotationally molded items will be the most durable. Once the process was decided, he then designs a case that is hexagonal (so the case will not roll around) and with built in handles (for instant balancing). Thus the Tuffpak was born in the early 80s. Today, we have more than 20 sizes and the Tuffpak is being used not only for tripods, but also for many Industrial, OEM and government projects as well for the sporting/hunting enthusiasts who want the ultimate protection for their guns and gear. Customer satisfaction is our first priority. We pride ourselves that our Customer Service Representatives are second to none; theyre expertly trained on the products we offer, and youll find theyre always unfailingly friendly and accommodating.
