Currently serving communities such as Rockridge, Oakland, Berkeley, and Alameda, we provide instruction in Piano, Guitar, Electric Bass, Percussion, Saxophone, Violin, Viola, Flute, Clarinet, and Voice. Our students also have the opportunity to rehearse and perform in ensembles of various sizes. History: We started in living room as a sole proprietorship with one instructor. In 2007, Musically Minded incorporated as a non-profit. From 2007-2009 we grew 400% and expanded into a 600 sq. foot garage with five teachers. Our widely successful program has now led us to our new 10 year lease in our 6018-foot commercial facility beginning in 2010. We now have eleven instructors and are enrolling new students every day! Mission: Musically Minded Academy has captured the joy of music education and is devoted to imparting it to its students. We offer unique music education programs designed to help students develop a passion not only for individual instruments, but for excellent musicianship. We strive to take our students beyond basic skills such as technique, reading, rhythm training, ear training, music theory, and performance skills. We hope to instill the inspiration, confidence, discipline, clear goals and self-motivation that characterize the complete musician.
