MPS electrical test capabilities span from microvolts and microamps up to 150 volts and 480 amps. MPS is a CBTL in partnership with Nemko and accredited by A2LA to ISO/IEC/EN 17025. MPS employees have decades of experience designing, manufacturing, and testing portable power products. Chuck Weitzel, President, founded Micro Power Electronics, a leading battery assembler, in 1984. His focus on process controls and quality was instrumental to growing the company to 70 employees before sale in 1995. In 2003, Chuck founded MPS. Andrew Tipton, Chief Scientist, joined MPS in 2008 and has over twelve years experience designingand testing energy storage devices (U.S. Navy, PolyStor). He is a member of the Electrochemical Society and the American Chemical Society. He holds a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from Northwestern University.
