Answer: Upon verification of military service, we provide free and professional assistance to veterans and their families in obtaining benefits and services that are provided in part by the Department of Veterans Affairs along with other agencies of government. We provide a structure through which disabled/non-disabled veterans can express their compassion for their fellow veterans through a variety of our provided programs. We plan to remodel or build each home to be universal build compliant. If necessary, we will make additional modifications for ADA compliance as well. The veteran and his or her family members must be the sole tenants at all times, and are responsible for all property taxes, maintenance, and utilities. This will help to give pride of ownership and a sense of belonging to a community. If for any reason the veteran can no longer live in the property, the home in question will be updated to serve the needs of another veteran that is in our program. It is our firm belief that the words "Homeless" and "Veteran" are two words that should never be associated with one another, and we work tirelessly on a daily basis to remove that word association from common usage.
