Answer: Miracle Place Church actually started as a prayer group in the living room of Bishop Ricky Sinclair and his wife Jeannie. After a short time the prayer group expanded into their living room and was moved to the local hotel's conference room. It was there that the Church of the Felicianas was birthed. After two years the church had consumed every conference room at the hotel and had people lining down the halls to worship and hear the word of God being taught. God dropped a vision of expansion and revival into Ricky's heart; it was time to look for land and a building that could sustain growth. Bishop Ricky signed several purchase agreements in the West Feliciana area, but the doors were constantly closing. As he expanded his search further up Highway 61 and into the Greater Baton Rouge area, a door finally opened for his fledging church in Baker, Louisiana. As Ricky toured the building he felt that God spoke to his heart that He was giving him this particular place situated on Highway 19. With two thousand dollars in the bank and a heart full of faith, Bishop Sinclair and his wife signed a purchase agreement on the current location of the church. The purchase of the new building brought a new dilema: a new name was needed. After input from the congregation, and much prayer, the Church of the Felicianas was renamed (appropriately enough) Miracle Place Church; and the rest, as they say, is history...
