Mile Hi can actually trace its foodservice industry roots back to 1901 when Michael Taddonio started peddling fresh products in and around the Denver area. Before the adoption of the Mile Hi name, the company was known as Taddonio Brothers Produce. In 1956, the first McDonald's Restaurant was built in Denver and Mile Hi was awarded the potato contract and a strong business partnership was born. In 1974, Mile Hi Frozen Foods Co. was incorporated as a separate business to place more focus on servicing the supply chain needs of McDonalds restaurants. Today, Mile Hi Foods Co. (formerly known as Mile Frozen Foods) distributes all food and paper related products to several hundred McDonald's restaurants in Colorado and surrounding states.
