Answer: Walk through the doors of the Middlebury Inn and feel the warmth of New England hospitality that has been our tradition for generations. Residing in the heart of the Champlain Valley, look out over the beautiful Middlebury town green from our front porch and experience a place that's been a part of Vermont's history since 1827. The Middlebury Inn is a delightful year-round vacation destination where our guests can enjoy our historic hospitality, and walk, bike, or drive to their favorite attraction then return to the relaxing comfort of our Inn. Our historic inn boasts of beautiful and elegantly restored guest rooms and suites graced with formal Victorian accents. The Porter Mansion, an annex to the Inn and built in 1825 by Jonathon Wainwright, offers nine additional guest rooms accessed by a lovely circular staircase and serves well for business or family retreats. In 1968, 20 additional rooms were added with exterior entrances and a more contemporary look. As a full service hotel with 71 guestrooms, the Inn offers unparalleled food, drink and lodging with all of the comforts and modern conveniences travelers have come to expect from a grand hotel.
