Answer: Microarrays Inc (MI) creates array products which generate the highest quality data while working to advance array-based technologies for biological research, detection and diagnostics. MI innovations in array-based technologies have been applied in analyte testing, diagnostics, identification of viral and bacterial pathogens, and personalized medicine. Producing gene expression and proteomics arrays of exceptional quality, MI offers significant experience in gene expression, protein folding and protein conformational integrity, which makes our company uniquely poised to advance your proteomics project. To achieve complex interactions on a microarray surface that mimic molecular associations found in vivo, several physical and biological factors must be taken into account on the array. Our expertise in immobilizing DNA, proteins, and other small molecules onto a variety of array surface types provides our clients the opportunity to achieve results that cannot be obtained elsewhere. Founded in 1999, MI has its origins in the Microarray Core facility of the Vanderbilt-Ingram Comprehensive Cancer Center in Nashville, Tennessee. As a result of the growing expertise, proficiency and printing innovations developed at the Cancer Center, MI was established as an autonomous company in November 2000. MI now is a resident associate company in the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology in Huntsville, AL. It has been privately held since May 2010.
