Answer: Michael is an experienced teacher as well as a performer. As a teacher, he has experience working with students from seasoned musical theater professionals, to beginners who want to improve singing for pleasure. He has experience with dancers, singers and both men and women of various ages and voice types. He has even helped postoperative students recover from vocal surgery and has instructed students recovering from vocal damage. He is a seasoned New York musical theater performer with experience in performing many different styles of music. Michael's journey to becoming a vocal technique teacher began at an early age. Always struggling, and working through his own vocal issues, has helped him to be a better teacher. He has worked with the top New York vocal teachers and coaches including Neil Semer, Liz Caplan, Aaron Hagan, Joan Dornemann, Marni Nixon, Patrick Hansen, Katie Agresta, and Connie Barnett. He has a BFA in Musical Theater from Ithaca College. He received classical training from a young age, and has studied vocal pedagogy on his own. Michael also runs workshops and classes throughout the US including his 6 week Musical Theatre Summer Intensive programs for pre-professionals in Massachusetts and Long Island. NYCinMA and NYCinLI occur during July and August in MetroWest, MA and Nassau County, NY respectively.
