Answer: Metro Blooms is an environmental non-profit based in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. We are built on values of community partnership and resilience. We partner with communities to create resilient landscapes and foster clean watersheds, embracing the values of equity and inclusion to solve environmental challenges. We partner with communities, local governments, private nurseries and landscapers and volunteer groups to share information and provide resources, technical and physical assistance to create more resilient landscapes and resilient communities, protecting our water resources, creating habitat for wildlife and strengthening social connection through equitable engagement. Over the past 15 years, 10,000 people have attended a resilient landscape workshop and more than 1,000 raingardens have been installed in partnership with Twin Cities communities. Thirty project stewards have engaged their neighbors within affordable housing and environmental justice communities to create healthier, more livable outdoor spaces. These statistics point to the progress we are making in protecting clean water in our cherished lakes, rivers and streams and in promoting the equitable use of clean water and habitat funding. We aren't doing this alone. We work hand-in-hand with our partners to help them meet their goals and rely on many volunteers to help plant and share knowledge with residents. We hope you join us in helping to create more resilient landscapes and resilient communities.
