Answer: The Mission of MCHF is to engage in fundraising and community involvement that supports quality healthcare services on the Mendocino Coast. Our vision is a greatly expanded and successful fundraising program with broad community support and endorsement. We have a Sustaining Fund that supports a majority of Foundation operations, which enables the Board to focus on raising funds. Our long-range goal is to raise $1 million a year from all of our fundraising programs. The Foundation is an intrinsic part of healthcare in our community. Our board members are actively engaged and enjoy the opportunity to volunteer. Our major fundraiser, WineSong continues to grow, to attract donors from outside the area, and to be the outstanding event on the Mendocino Coast. Our staff provides the support the Board needs to do its work, providing expertise, experience and time to develop a full range of successful fundraising strategies. The Foundation is a major focal point for community health activities of all kinds and collaborates, convenes and coordinates important fundraising activities to improve healthcare on the Mendocino Coast. But most importantly, in everything we do, the Foundation is accessible, has a deep sense of commitment and family not only to itself and its staff, but to our volunteers, donors and all whom we touch.
