Answer: Manhattan Youth Ballet offers a comprehensive and nurturing pre-professional ballet program based in the heart of New York Citys dance community, dedicated to preparing aspiring young dancers for professional careers. The year-round program focuses on the European classical ballet pedagogy tradition honoring precision, artistry and discipline, combined with the American ethos celebrating individuality and versatility. Our mission is to provide students with a diverse curriculum taught by an elite faculty who become family in a facility that feels like home. With instructors whose backgrounds span from New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre to modern masters such as Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham & Lar Lubovitch, along with three professional-caliber performance opportunities throughout the year, students have the unique opportunity to learn classic and contemporary repertoire from Marius Petipa, George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins, to name a few. Manhattan Youth Ballets students finish our program equipped with the necessary skills to succeed both professionally and personally, and maintain a strong connection within our alumni community of professional dancers and university graduates.
