A clinical professor of ophthalmology at UCLA, Doctor Maloney has trained more than 1,000 surgeons in the use of the excimer laser and has personally performed more than 68,000 vision correction surgeries. The Maloney-Shamie Vision Institute specializes in the full spectrum of vision correction procedures. Maloney, MD, MA, a Rhodes Scholar, trained at Oxford University, Harvard University, UCSF, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. Neda Shamie, MD, received her medical degree from UCSF and was previously the Medical Director of the Doheny Eye Institute. Arjan Hura, MD graduated from The Ohio State University and obtained his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine.
