Owner Mike Mere Sr. began in 1978 working in the auto upholstery business for Numan Auto Tops. After that Mike Mere Sr. began his own auto upholstery company. After a few years in business, a customer approached Mike and asked if he could make him an awning. After doing his research Mike, Sr. had a welding company make the framework while he made the awning cover. A few friends helped install the first awning made by our company. Word of mouth is a powerful advertising tool, and it wasn't long before we had many more requests for awnings and M & M Canvas and Awning was born.
