Answer: The Low Impact Development Center (LID Center) works both independently and in partnership with numerous research organizations, private entities, and other non-profit organizations to conduct research, provide concept designs, implement pilot projects, prepare manuals of practice, and conduct training. Our multifaceted approach gives us a unique perspective on how to facilitate the incorporation of innovative stormwater management techniques (e.g., bioretention, vegetated swales, green roofs, permeable pavements, cisterns, etc.) into institutional and government regulatory compliance and natural resource protection programs. We have successfully completed over 400 grants and projects both nationwide and internationally. The LID Center is a registered continuing education provider certified through the Registered Continuing Education Program (RCEP). We can issue Professional Development Hours (PDHs) to those who attend our qualified training presentations.
