Answer: LOTT provides wastewater management services for the urban areas of Lacey, Olympia, and Tumwater in Thurston County, Washington. LOTT is a recognized industry leader with state-of-the art treatment facilities, a dedicated, highly-trained workforce committed to excellence and innovation, and a unique governance structure. LOTT is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation, formed by four government partners. L-O-T-T stands for Lacey, Olympia, Tumwater, and Thurston County. The Budd Inlet Treatment Plant is LOTTs main treatment facility. It is one of the only plants along Puget Sound to remove nitrogen as part of the treatment process. Treatment performance is among the best in the country, and LOTT has an excellent track record of compliance with stringent discharge permit limits. In this way, LOTT helps to protect water quality in Budd Inlet and ensures wastewater treatment capacity for our communities in the future. LOTT also produces high quality Class A Reclaimed Water for beneficial reuse. This resource is used locally in water features like the East Bay Public Plaza stream, to irrigate parks, streetscapes, and the Tumwater Valley Golf Course, and for cleaning and process water at LOTT facilities. Reclaimed water is also used to replenish groundwater at LOTT's Hawks Prairie Recharge Basins and the Woodland Creek Groundwater Recharge Facility, owned and operated by the cities of Lacey and Olympia.
