Answer: The Literacy Volunteers of Chautauqua County (LVCC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving residents' lives through free literacy instruction. We help people gain crucial skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening to English through one-on-one and small group tutoring. We also train volunteer tutors and run 21 East, a local used bookstore, to support our services. Opened in 2010, the 21 East Bookstore offers hundreds of gently used books. Since the Book Nook's 2013 closing, we are the only local bookstore in the Dunkirk/Fredonia area. From children's books to rare and antique books, we guarantee something for every reader! All proceeds directly support our literacy services. With every purchase, you help change someone's life.
