We believe that the life of a child who is deaf or hard of hearing is transformed when empowered parents partner with knowledgeable and skilled professionals within supportive communities. We envision an inclusive world where all children who are deaf or hard of hearing, irrespective of their location and financial resources, can achieve their personal best Our Programs Parent Empowerment Parents and family members of children who are deaf or hard of hearing participate in individual or group parent education sessions to learn about hearing loss, hearing technology, language development, as well as how they can be their childs best advocate. All services are provided free of charge to families. Professional Development Professionals working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing participate in online training and individual coaching sessions to enhance their knowledge and skills related to listening and spoken language intervention and auditory-verbal practice. Participants can pursue LSLS Certification. Scholarships are available for participants based on merit, need, and potential impact. Public Awareness Families, professionals, and anyone interested in working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing can participate in ongoing free webinars on topics related to hearing loss, listening and spoken language intervention, and mainstreaming. Webinars are presented in English and Hindi.
