Answer: Life Sciences Research Foundation is an excellent vehicle for anyone wishing to support the best and brightest postdoctoral scholars carrying out basic life science research. Our competitive three-year award program ensures: Quality: A 34-member review committee selects 50 finalists annually from ~800 applicants. Diversity: Our award program is open to applicants internationally in all areas of life sciences. Applicants have diverse backgrounds and a very broad range of research interests. Flexibility: A donor may choose to support a finalist (or finalists) based upon criteria aligned with their own interests or a particular geographic location or allow LSRF to assign the finalist (or finalists) to be supported. Awardees are typically named for the donor. Efficiency: All LSRF leadership officers, board members and peer review committee volunteer their time, serving without compensation. Only 4% of a donor's contribution is used for operating costs. Our Annual Meeting expenses are included in the operating costs.
