Answer: Legacy Community Housing Corporation (LCHC) is a Georgia based nonprofit organization formed in 2009 with a 501c3 and public charity designation. Our mission is threefold: 1. Provide respectable, safe, affordable housing for low and moderate income families, the elderly and handicapped. 2. Advocate for crime prevention and life safety in all forms of multifamily housing. 3. Provide for and encourage neighborhood stabilization through responsible and innovative ownership and property management. The concept and mission for LCHC came out of Founder and Executive Director Brent Sobol's fifteen plus years working in the affordable housing industry. During this time, he personally rehabilitated many operationally broken, dangerous, and blighted apartment communities. He realized that in order for lower income housing to work well, ownership and management must realize that the end goal is to create a safe community populated with good neighbors. This is achieved by providing unique social services that address root community problems and by having management that is community engaged. LCHC has five governing board members that come from diverse backgrounds.
