Answer: KINDNESS GROWS HERE is a foundation dedicated to fostering kindness in children and spreading kindness in communities. We are a 501(c)(3) based in Gambrills, MD but many of our programs are available to children and schools anywhere in the United States. The three primary ways we achieve our mission are: 1) School-Based assemblies: We offer two assemblies. The first, "Who do you want to be RIGHT NOW" is an anti-bullying assembly that helps kids realize that it is their actions, choices, and words that define who they are. We have a version of this for both elementary and middle schools. The idea is to get kids to focus more on what kind of person they want to be now, and less on what they want to be when they grow up. The second is called, "Let's Celebrate Differences" and this one teaches children that differences are something to celebrate, not ridicule, and is geared to the elementary crowd. 2) Free Public Events: Our public events seek to bring communities together around a common goal of spreading kindness on a daily basis. These events are engaging for all ages. If youd like to bring one of our events to your community, please reach out! 3) Kid Kindness Grants: This is a program in which kids anywhere in the United States can apply for funds to do a project that will help spread kindness in their school or community. Applications open each year from September 1 to November 1. We are constantly looking to connect with new partners: Schools, libraries, community organizations, and individuals.
