Answer: Since 2001, Kids Matter Inc. has opened doors of promise and opportunity for foster and kinship care children and their caregivers. We do this by putting the needs of children first. Kids Matter Inc. helps children in foster and kinship care thrive. Our Fostering Healing team - therapists, legal advocates, social workers, and resource specialists - supports abused and neglected children including foster and kinship care families. This program provides a variety of services including in-home trauma focused therapy for children, legal advocacy and representation, crisis and short-term counseling, and caregiver support. Our Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers advocate for children who have been abused or neglected and help assure each child a safe, permanent, nurturing home. We recruit, train and supervise community members to respond to serious cases of child abuse and neglect.
