Answer: KEEP is the economic advocate for Kentuckys $4 billion horse industry in Frankfort and Washington, DC. Since 2006, we have championed issues that benefit Kentucky horses, breeders, race tracks and horsemen, in turn increasing the industrys financial contribution to the Commonwealths economy, job creation, agricultural exports and global investment. We will continue to work to keep Kentucky the Horse Capital of the World on behalf of all breeds and all sectors of Kentuckys signature horse industry. The number one goal of KEEP is to educate the public and key state constituencies about the multi-billion dollar economic impact the entire horse industry provides to all sectors of Kentuckys economy, including breeding and racing, equine services, farmworkers, show horses and trail riding. Our mission encourages the development of a pro-jobs and economic opportunities agenda for the Kentucky horse economy to include: -Increasing state promotion and incentives for the Kentucky horse industrys world class leadership. -Preserving and expanding existing state horse economy programs for all breeds such as the annual $11 million Kentucky Breeders Incentive Fund to encourage breeding and ownership of Kentucky Horses. -Initiatives to stimulate jobs and economic growth through economic incentives and tax reform to solidify Kentuckys horse economy leadership to attract new horse industry investment to the state. -Maintain a statewide grassroots network that includes all breeds and activities from all 120 counties.
