Answer: Our mission is to protect the citizens of the Commonwealth and to provide a safe, secure and humane environment for staff and offenders in carrying out the mandates of the legislative and judicial processes; and, to provide opportunities for offenders to acquire skills which facilitate non-criminal behavior. The DOC is looking for full-time Correctional Officers to work all over the state. Starting salary is $30,0500.00 annually with a 5% raise after completion of the 6-month probation. With overtime, Officers can easily earn over $50,000.00 annually. Includes benefits of hazardous state employees. Qualifications: *HIGH SCHOOL or EQUIVALENCY (GED) *Must be 21 Must have valid driver's license *No Misdemeanor crime of Domestic Violence *No felony Convictions of trafficking narcotics, dangerous drugs or controlled substances *Must submit to a background check *Must submit to urniylsas for a drug screen *NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED For assistance or more information contact: Doc.Recruit@ky.gov
