At Firestarter Interactive, a production company based in the Ocean State, we have become passionate about this ocean-based climate solution, and are on a mission to make kelp mainstream. We believe in the power of film and storytelling to raise awareness and build momentum at a crucial moment for kelp and its high-growth potential. As Bren Smith, the founder of GreenWave, likes to envision, kelp is the new soy, i.e. with the potential to be used in and for everything, with none of the negative repercussions, only positive ecological benefits. Our planet is in a crisis, and regenerative ocean farming moves beyond sustainability and preservation of the status quo to the necessary horizon of regenerative solutions, actually improving the planetpulling carbon from the atmosphere and cleaning polluted watersas its implemented.
