KBYS first went on-air May 15, 2014 and currently broadcasts at 88.3 FM at 4000 watts, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. KBYS is the first and only radio station broadcasting in HD serving the Southwest Louisiana community including Lake Charles, Sulphur, Westlake, Moss Bluff and parts of Calcasieu, Cameron and Jeff Davis parishes. The station format is primarily hit rock/classic rock from the late 60s, 70s and 80s and also hosts a wide variety of specialty shows including "swamp pop", indie, adult alternative, EDM and others.
