Answer: J. D. Ott Company is a world class aerospace manufacturer with AS9100D and Nadcap accreditation. During 70+ years of existence, we have achieved a diverse specialization including milling, turning, grinding, thread rolling, gundrilling, honing, heat treating, and assemblies. All this is made possible with an enthusiastic team of experienced employees and a dedication to excellence. JD Ott was established in Seattle in 1943 by a local entrepreneur Jack Ott. His tenacious spirit is reflected in the ingenuity and "can do" attitude at JD Ott. Shortly after moving to a larger facility in 1964, Jack had filled the building with automatic screw machines and manual machines including Bridgeports, engine lathes, grinders, and thread rollers. Following in his father's footsteps Rex Ott took the helm. Embracing new technology, Rex replaced most the manual machines with CNC machines. J. D. Ott expanded again in 1998 moving into a 60000 square foot facility. The new facility featured several new machines and support amenities. Since moving into our new facility most every machine from the former facility has been replaced with brand new cutting edge CNC multi axis lathes, mills, and grinders while adding two heat treat ovens keeping J. D. Ott a state of the art manufacturer.
