Representing 80 countries, ISA has over 6,000 members worldwide and is the most respected and widely known scholarly association in this field. Community: Creating communities of scholars dedicated to international studies, ISA is divided into 6 geographic subdivisions (Regions) and 23 interest groups (Sections) which provide opportunities to exchange ideas and research with local colleagues and within specific subject areas. Meetings: Our international conferences and annual conventions attract scholars from all over the world. We cooperate with 53 international studies organizations in 32 countries, and as a member of the International Social Science Council, we have nongovernmental consultative status with the United Nations.
