Answer: New England's Largest Environmental Trainer offering courses in Asbestos, Lead, OSHA, HazMat, Mold, EPA and more. IEE also has a full staff of professional Lead Inspectors/Risk Assessors ready to serve you throughout Massachusetts and NH! IEE was founded in 1987 in Woburn, Massachusetts as a subsidiary of an asbestos consulting company. The Institute was created to provide asbestos training to accredit asbestos professionals in response to President Reagans signing of the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act of 1986 (AHERA). Although asbestos training courses were the mainstay at that time, IEE has continuously expanded into other areas of the environmental and safety & health fields since 1989. In 1991, under new ownership, IEE separated from its parent company and became an independent Massachusetts corporation. IEE continued to diversify into other environmental safety and health fields. With our 2001 move to our current 10,700 square foot custom-designed facility in Wilmington, Massachusetts, we've expanded our state-of-the-art capabilities in both classroom and hands-on training areas. Whether you're a large organization or an individual entering the environmental workforce, the Institute for Environmental Education is your complete training resource. With more than two decades of experience, IEE trains over 5,000 students per year for our clientele including governmental agencies, hospitals, public and private schools and colleges, branches of the armed services, businesses, associations and non-profit groups. IEE understands that dealing with todays changing regulations is critical in your workplace and were constantly updating our courses to keep pace with the times. Our goal has always been to equip companies, employees and job seekers with the tools, products and knowledge to protect themselves and others in the workplace and in the environment.
