Answer: The Independent College Fund of New Jersey (ICFNJ) has been partnering with corporate and philanthropic communities for the past six decades to promote investment in New Jersey's private colleges and universities. The 14 member institutions and more than 64,000 students they enroll benefit from the commitment of ICFNJ to empower deserving students to realize their academic goals. The partnerships provide scholarships to offset costs, reduce the need for outside work and build student commitment; programs that enhance the educational experience in the classroom and lab, and directed funds to address critical campus needs. The return on education for a liberal arts degree remains strong - underrepresented minorities graduate at higher rates than do at other types of institutions; students are more likely to get promoted and earn more over their lifetimes and liberal arts majors are more likely to give back to their communities. ICFNJ promotes the solid educational foundation, critical thinking and communication skills, appreciation for varying points of view and leadership development opportunities provided to students at ICFNJ member institutions. The diversity of colleges and universities in ICFNJ's membership allows students to find the learning environment, social and community engagement, and tuition level that will allow them to succeed. The impact of ICFNJ member institutions expands beyond its student enrollment. In FY2012 the economic impact of these institutions was $9.7 billion. ICFNJ members: Bloomfield College, Caldwell University, Centenary College, College of Saint Elizabeth, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Drew University, Felician College, Georgian Court University, Monmouth University, Princeton University, Rider University, Saint Peter's University, Seton Hall University and Stevens Institute of Technology.
