Answer: ICR Turbine Engine Corporation (ICRTec) is developing a gas turbine to replace diesel engines in mobile and stationary applications. Our current focus is a 350 kW engine for new Class 8 trucks and stationary power generation (DG and CHP) in North America. Future markets will include buses, military, oil & gas, locomotives and other industrial (some applications with "ganged" groupings of our 500 hp engine). The beneficial characteristics of our engine compared to today's diesel competitors are: equivalent price, superior fuel efficiency, multi-fuel capability (with on-the-fly dual-fuel switching), better than CARB compliance without additives or added equipment, significantly reduced size/weight, and reduced maintenance costs at much longer intervals.
