Answer: ICA - Art Conservation (ICA) was founded in 1952 as the first nonprofit regional conservation center in the nation, providing professional art conservation services for paintings, paper, textiles, and objects of all kinds. We also provide fine art transportation and climate-controlled storage services to clients. ICA serves museums, libraries, non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, corporations, and private individuals, as we work to preserve the artistic and cultural heritage of this region. Each year ICA undertakes about 350 conservation projects for clients ranging from major art museums to small town historical societies, and from large government bodies, like the City of Cleveland and the State of Ohio, to small house museums and individual collectors. In addition, ICA reaches out to more than 2000 individuals annually through our educational programming for heritage professionals, students, collectors, and the general public.
