Answer: As Memphis' only barrier-free intake center for the homeless, and the future site of the only barrier-free womens transitional shelter in Memphis, the Hub is modeling a different way of addressing the Citys homelessness issues. Our ultimate goal is to have guests enter the continuum of care to be rehoused as quickly as possible. By meeting our guests where they are, the Hub is able to advocate for each individual at sequential points along their pathway out of homelessness. Key programs of the Hub include: * Work Local, an employment program that pays fair wages and reduces blight in the City of Memphis * Street Outreach, an effort to cultivate trusting and supportive relationships with individuals sleeping on the streets in order to bring them into the Continuum of Care * Hub Hotel, a trauma-informed transitional housing program for women * Day Plaza, a beautiful new public space for people experiencing homelessness to rest and receive access to services and counselors
