Answer: We put women at the center of our care and guide them during every step of their recovery. At Hitchcock Center for Women in Clevelands Hough-Glenville neighborhood, we help women break the cycle of substance abuse in a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment that promotes healing. Our care team recognizes that addiction affects women differently than men and that trauma, abuse, and mental health issues often accompany their addiction or are the root cause of it. Women also face different challenges when trying to get the help they desperately need. Mothers battling addiction shouldnt have to choose between getting treatment and taking care of their children. We are one of the only residential treatment centers in the region where a woman can stay with her children (up to age 12) while she is receiving treatment. This unique accommodation helps keep families together and prevents additional trauma from separation.
