Answer: Welcome to Hinge Vintage Hardware, your exclusive source for vintage hardware, unique home accents, and more! Our All-American, locally owned and operated roots began with George Baker, a World War Two Navy veteran. With a passion for anything mechanical, George began purchasing inventory from hardware businesses, and individuals across the Eastern United States upon his return from the war. He started his hardware business as the first tenant in Renninger's of Mount Dora, Florida. Before long he would be known far and wide as "The Hardware Man." The Hardware Man believed in old-fashioned, hands on service, and developed a loyal customer base over the next 30 years, including Universal Studios and Disney's Imagineering team. His expertise and advice with regards to the massive inventory was priceless, and nearly every customer who visited found a solution to complete their project. Sharing his passion for restoration, his daughter Kathy joined the company as a teenager. In 2013 a repeat customer made the largest purchase in The Hardware Man's history as he bought the entire inventory. Rick Bosserman and his team of Hingeneers packed, moved, sorted, and set out to display the multi- million pieces of Americana. The Hardware Man's daughter, Kathy, continues to serve customers in her father's tradition. We count her addition as one of the biggest blessings of this endeavor.
