Answer: HI-TEC (High Impact Technology Exchange Conference) is a national conference on advanced technological education where technical educators, counselors, industry professionals and technicians can go update their knowledge and skills. Charged with "Educating Americas Technical Workforce," the annual event focuses on the preparation needed by the existing and future workforce for companies in the high-tech sectors that drive our nation's economy. HI-TEC consists two days of pre-conference workshops and two days of conference sessions and keynote speakers. HI-TEC uniquely explores the convergence of scientific disciplines and technologies including: Advanced Manufacturing Technologies Energy and Environmental Technologies Biotechnology and Chemical Process Technologies Engineering Technologies Information, Geospatial, and Security Technologies Learning and Evaluation Electronics, Micro and Nanotechnologies Best Practices in Technology Education Technicians in the workplace WHO SHOULD ATTEND HI-TEC? Community/Technical College & University Faculty Counselors High School Teachers Industry Professionals Technicians Workforce Development Advocates PRECONFERENCE Technical Workshops Grant Development Workshops Local Industry Tours MAIN CONFERENCE Sessions Kaynoted Technology Showcase TECHNOLOGY SHOWCASE Conference attendees are invited to participate in the Technology Showcase, held during the main conference - a great opportunity to see the latest products and services in technical education.
