Answer: A 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission of enriching lives through adaptive recreation. High Country Adaptive Sports (HCAS) is dedicated to provided accessible outdoor recreational opportunities for people with disabilities in Arizona. Through outdoor sports, we can literally push ourselves to new heights; challenge ourselves to go faster or farther than we thought ourselves capable; and lift one another up when we share these accomplishments together. As a result, we develop a greater appreciation of our worlds natural beauty and resources and equally important we come together as people, learning more about ourselves and those who share in these accomplishments with us. We do this by providing ski instruction, guided kayaking, mountain biking and climbing excursions to disabled youth, veterans and other persons with permanent injuries or disabilities. Our programs are led by trained professionals and volunteers and feature state-of-the-art adaptive sports equipment that allows every individual to enjoy and participate to their fullest ability.
