Answer: The HealthyUNow Foundation was started by Dr. Julie A. Buckley to create virtual and physical communities for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. The HealthyU Campus will provide a residential setting as well as comprehensive Educational/Vocational and Therapeutic Services available to families affected by autism. The Foundation is committed to a pioneering presumption of competence of individuals affected by autism. Coupling this presumption with an approach to its residents and participants that restores health and optimizes function will foster uniquely successful outcomes. The wellness center will have programs and therapies with proven results, such as healthy nutrition, gluten-free/casein-free (GFCF) foods, organic gardening, an exercise area, animal therapies, and creative therapies in art, music and drama. In addition the campus will offer cutting edge medical and therapeutic opportunities. Focusing on the impact of autism on the entire family, sibling and family opportunities for participation as well as family and financial counseling will be offered. Educational/vocational and therapeutic programs will provide a day program for adults, independent living skills and vocational training, after school programs for kids, and more. A residential center will feature supported living and supervised living facilities, a residential home and visitor housing. Our website will be a continually updated resource for affected families.
