Answer: The Psychology Division at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center aims to provide quality patient-centered care, education, and training. Located on the campus of a publicly funded teaching hospital in Los Angeles County, the program fosters a JEDI* focused learning environment steeped in the Scientist-Practitioner model. We offer training opportunities at both the pre- and post-doctoral level in short-term and long-term therapy with individuals, families, and/or groups with an emphasis on evidence-based practices (EBPs) and training in consultation/liaison skills. There is also a strong emphasis on and commitment to cultural humility and JEDI issues, including but not limited to: a dedicated JEDI workgroup using rapid cycle quality improvement methods to ensure accountability in our practices, unique consultation and learning spaces (e.g., Lunch and Learn sessions, Neurodiversity-Affirming JEDI Clinical Consultation group, etc.), and overall thoughtfulness with respect to intersectionality in our practices. Visit our website to learn more about our APA-accredited traditional practice postdoctoral residency program in Clinical Psychology and/or our field-placement (externship) training opportunities for predoctoral students whose educational institutions have an agreement with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LAC DMH) Student Professional Development Program. * JEDI: Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
